Things that have been happening

Here are a few new videos of the little guy.  We've been busy this month!  Today is actually super nice outside, but last week it got a little chilly.  I thought Braeden needed to put his gloves on so that his hands wouldn't get cold.  It's been a while since he's had gloves on.  When we go in the stroller when it's cold, I just shove his hands under a blanket.  He wasn't quite sure what to think of the gloves.  He didn't mind them.  Once we got outside and he was trying to push his grocery cart, we had to take them off because he couldn't get a good grip.  I figured if it was between cold hands and a cracked skull on the pavement, I'd take the cold hands!  Isn't being a mother all about compromise?

Next up we have a video of Braeden doing a new trick.  He started this one while Aunty Pam was watching him.  I love that he's really starting to explore his environment!

Braeden has been on antibiotics twice this months...which is twice as many times as he's been on it his entire life!   The first was for an ear infection.  After a few sleepless nights and crying for 10 minutes during breakfast, I decided to take him to see Mary (our pediatrician).  Yep, ear infection.  It's a good thing Braeden has a very high tolerance for pain and is very laid back about things.  He was not a big fan of the medicine.  He finished the medicine on a Friday.  On Saturday, he started sneezing and getting really snotty.  He had a hard time falling asleep and we finally had to put him in our bed for a little bit.  The next day, the snot was worse and he had a fever of 100.2.  Braeden doesn't get fevers very often.  Of course, Jon had to go to Arizona that night.  Braeden always gets snotty when Jon's not around.  I think it's because he knows that snot makes me gag and he does it to torture me.  I took him to see Mary on Monday morning, and it turned out that he had strep.  Poor guy!  Another round of antibiotics.  Although he was really snotty, he didn't miss a beat.  He was a little fussy, but for the most part, he was still a happy little guy as you can see in this video!
