Nothing but trouble!

Braeden has been growing by leaps and bounds the past few weeks and sometimes I can hardly believe that this is the same child from a few months ago.  Along with all of this development, has come attitude and opinion...and he sure does have them...about a lot of things!  Opinions about where he wants to go, what he wants to do, that he doesn't want to eat.  He expresses his opinions of course, by crying and throwing himself around.  He can usually be persuaded pretty easily  to do something else.  Things that he's opinionated about?  Wanting to go outside.  Crying usually ensues whenever I open the door to get something from the car or when I open the door to let Maggie out.  He loves being outside and he knows that an open door is going to get him there!  Automatic doors that slide open are another thing.  He LOVES them.  What's that mom, you need to keep shopping?  Too bad!  If I'm in the cart, I will throw a fit.  If you are letting me walk, I am walking as fast as I can towards the doors and absolutely not any other direction!  Secretly though, I love every second of it.  It means that he's growing and developing!  He's also started swatting hands out of the way when we brush his teeth, give him medicine, try to get him to try a new food, etc.  Here I was thinking that I had such a good baby.  Turns out he just wasn't strong enough or coordinated enough to object to a lot.  Oh well, I enjoyed it while it lasted!  Here are some videos of him getting into "trouble."

He loves his sister.  And he's discovered her tail (much to her delight!).  This could be dangerous, in more ways than one!

The other night at dinner, we gave him a spoon to try out.  I thought that he did pretty well considering we've never given him a spoon to hold.  We will only be trying it at meals where he doesn't need to go anywhere afterwards!

Our biggest trouble right now is his sleeping.  Jon keeps saying it's payback from all the nights he slept as a baby and up until now.  For the past month, he's been waking up.  At first, he had a cold and was coughing a lot.  He's been on antibiotics for a week now (I finally took him after three weeks).  And he's still waking up.  Last night he was up for an hour.  Jon rocked him, I patted him, lots of crying.  We finally brought him into our bed and what does he do?  Start crawling around, giggling, and talking.  Back to bed for that babe!  So, here's to hoping that this trouble goes away!

And last, but not least, he's getting into trouble because he's walking!  Yes, he still falls a lot and needs to hold a wall or something else to get up, but he's walking!  I will say, he scares the crap out of everyone but me because he's so unstable.  I watch him fall enough to know that the majority of the time  he's not going to hurt himself.  Currently, he has a big bruise and cut on his forehead from falling onto the jogging stroller wheel.  Jon was standing right there! Oops!
