North Carolina

On the same trip to Michigan and Virginia, we also went to the beach in North Carolina.  I figured I had better get this post and pictures up before we leave on our trip tomorrow to Virginia Tech!  Leslie and I drove down to the beach with the two boys.  Wow, was that an experience trying to get all of the stuff into the car, keep an eye on the boys, and finish before one of them had to eat again!  Of course, we had to laugh because if we didn't, we would have cried.  Not like the old days when all we had to pack was a bathing suit and a water bottle, and a book if we were lucky!    After we got to the beach, we realized that it had taken 4 hours instead of 2 to get down there.  We did have some fun stops along the way!  Our first stop was to visit the Grave Digger!  Braeden looked very small sitting on the wheel.  I can't wait until he's older and he can go on it!

Our next stop was just a few miles down the road at the Grandy Farm Market.  Both boys needed to eat, so we fed them.  Then we went on a short hayride and picked out a pumpkin!  Braeden, Colton, and cousin Patty had lots of fun.

As you can see, Braeden loves his cousin Colton!  We also got to do a little shopping inside the farmer's market.  Braeden had fun pushing the miniature shopping cart around.

Our next stop was the beach!  Finally!  Braeden went to the beach this summer, but it was amazing to see that he was interested in different things!  He still loved playing in the sand, and watching the birds, planes, and waves.  We could not get him to push the chair in circles this time.  He wanted NOTHING to do with it!  Instead, he headed straight for the window.  Since it was cool enough to have the windows open, he could hear the cars going by on the beach road.  He wasn't tall enough to see out the window and he was not happy about it!  He would put his little fingers on the window  and cry because he couldn't see out!  We put his feet on the radiator and then he could see just fine.  I think he would have stayed there all day if we had let him!  I guess that's the end of this post.  I have been trying all day to upload some videos, but they don't want to work.  I'll update this post next week!
