Big boy bed, well, almost

Tonight is night number two in a toddler bed.  Last night we had to go in 18 times to put him back in bed before he fell asleep.  But props to Braeden for figuring out that he could actually get out!  We were in Virginia this past weekend and if Braeden grows one more centimeter, he won't fit in the pack and play.  I guess it's about time he figures out how to sleep in a bed so that when we travel, he won't have to scrunch up in the pack and play!  See, he really almost doesn't fit!

So it was off to Babies R Us when we got home.  I was all prepared to buy the wooden part to convert his bed into a toddler bed.  Thankfully, I had a really helpful sales lady who sent me to Wal-Mart for a a $25 attachment instead of $125.  It's not as pretty, but oh well!  I picked Braeden up from school and we came home and took the crib apart and put the attachment on.  He had fun exploring it and it sure didn't take long for him to figure out that he could get out of bed! He did not take a nap yesterday.  He played, and played, and played.

Last night went a lot better that we thought.  We only had to go in 18 times!  Tonight I'm trying to type in between going in and out of his room and putting him back in bed.  He did actually sleep in his bed!

And he was still there in the morning (stretching and making faces as he woke up!).

So today was day number 2 of playing instead napping, and this is what happens after two minutes in the car on the way to the park.  Here's hoping he hasn't given up naps completely!
